Play-Based, Themed Curriculum

At Little Campers, we believe children learn best when their curiosity leads the way. That’s why our curriculum is both play-based and child-led. We keep a library of 36 engaging themes — from animals and nature to community helpers and outer space — and let the children’s interests guide which ones we explore together. Each theme comes alive through:

  • 🎨 Creative Arts – Open-ended projects that reflect our theme and spark imagination

  • 📖 Stories & Songs – Books, music, and storytelling tied into our focus

  • 🔬 Discovery & Science – Hands-on experiments and exploration

  • 🧘 Yoga & Mindfulness – Daily practice for focus, calm, and self-awareness

  • 🌿 Outdoor Adventures – Nature play that connects our themes to the world around us

This approach gives children a sense of ownership in their learning, while ensuring variety, creativity, and developmental growth across every domain.

Daily Rhythm

Children thrive with a consistent routine balanced with flexibility for discovery.

At Little Campers, each day includes:

  • Morning Circle Time – Songs, stories, and community time
  • Learning and Play – Hands-on centers, art, and outdoor fun
  • Rest Time - Calm, Cozy, and rejuvenating
  • Afternoon Fun - Crafts, play, and outdoor adventures

Summer Fun!

When the weather warms up, the adventure continues! During summer months, children enjoy:

  • Water play and sensory exploration
  • Extended outdoor time in the sunshine
  • Creative games and seasonal activities
  • Opportunities for school-age siblings to join in the fun

Healthy Meals & Wellness

We proudly participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) to ensure every meal and snack meets high nutritional standards. Meals are:

  • Balanced with fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins
  • Served family-style to encourage independence and social skills
  • Paired with gentle conversation, table manners, and a calm, positive atmosphere

We believe mealtime is part of learning — a chance for children to explore new foods, listen to their bodies, and build lifelong healthy habits.
